New Equipment - New Opportunities
I still remember the afternoon when my wife, Dana, came home from school and said, "Jamie, I want to make a shirt." That simple statement was the genesis of what would become The Vinyl Motif. Wow, how our small business has grown since that time! We have learned so much through the years and our vision for the business has evolved well beyond decorating t-shirts. All of this has been possible due to our wonderful customers who have placed their trust in us and supported us, and for them we are thankful!
In the spring of 2019 we took a big step for our business when we invested in our first eco-solvent printer. Having the capability to print beautiful full-color prints on vinyl coupled with our commercial plotter truly opened a new world of possibilities. We soon started producing kiss-cut and die-cut stickers for individuals, businesses and organizations. In early 2020 we launched our e-commerce website vinylmotif.com, and later opened VM Fleet, a division of Vinyl Motif dedicated to producing self-installed decals and magnetic signage for commercial vehicles and equipment, including semi and hotshot trucks.
In July 2024 we took another huge step (more like a quantum leap!) to upgrade our business equipment and further increase our capacity to serve our growing customer base. After thoroughly researching multiple printer brands and models, we chose to invest in the Epson SureColor S60600. Epson is one of the most trusted printer brands in the world and Epson printers are renowned for incredible print quality, reliability, and innovation. Compared to our previous vinyl printer, our new Epson has a much wider print format (64"), lightning-fast print speeds, vastly reduced drying times, and the print quality is absolutely gorgeous! In addition to upgrading our printer, we also upgraded to a comparably-sized Graphtec FC9000 plotter and roll-to-roll laminator. Needless to say, our new equipment does not disappoint and our customers have been thrilled!
In recent years we have produced and shipped thousands of kiss-cut and die-cut stickers, decals and magnetic signs for customers in more than 30 states. Other signage and products we produce include vinyl banners, bulletin boards, yard signs, t-shirts, glitter pens, cornhole board wraps, canvas photo prints, door hangers, and more.
